Just a note that we are out of town for a few weeks.
The shop itself is not running (obviously because we are away), but emails and correspondence are still good. I will have limited email access until the 24th, after that I should have a stable connection and be able to answer all and any emails.
Also, for those who havent heard, I am opening up for 2D art commissions while I am abroad, and if you are interested please email me at info@furrhappens.com .
We will be home and back to normal by early August ^^.

He's heeeeerrre!!!! Bryagh Dragon! As seen at AnthroCon 2009.   More pictures at www.FurrHappens.com (sorry for the two pic post, had to show one with the wings). Wow what a project this has been. Our biggest, most detailed, and baddest yet! Definately some new ground for us and lots of new techniques. Used CNC to make the wing parts, which made for a much lighter and compact design this time. A dual layer bodysuit system, TONS of spikes, and some new materials and experiments here and there. The wings travelled to the customer seperately as we did not have them done in time for the photoshoot here, and had to Express them the day before the con. Both wings and suit were united at AC and turned out wonderfully! Hope you all enjoy him as much as we did making him! |

Ok now that AC is over we are going to start posting up a few of the suits that we got done in time for the con. Here is a cutie, his name is Squipo, or Squip for short. Things are going very well and we seem to be right on track!
Photos are all going to be taken on THURSDAY, with the aim of shipping everything on FRIDAY to make it to residences in time for AC.
Anthony and Bryagh will be shipped to the AC hotel by request.
A quick snapshot of my desk on Saturday. Since then another head got added to the pile. Wow 6 heads on my desk at once!

| Updates - Anthrocon Rush |

Go Go Go! The Anthrocon rush is on! We are working as much and as fast as we can without sacrificing quality. Thank you to the buddies who have helped out recently. Wow my desk has like 4 almost competed heads on it, fun to look at, I'll grab a preview picture soon.

Photos: We are waiting until near the end to take pictures of everything as we cant afford the time to pause the shop and set up the photo equipment. Bryagh Dragon - Head done (Took forever with all 13 spikes) head needs airbrushing, hands done, body 95% done, feet need fur, attaching tail to body today. Wings still pending.
Vega Wolf lion - Hands 1/2 done, feet cut out, tail 1/2 done. Adorable Paw pads btw.

Back from Califur/ LA early this morning. The drive was very long and we were both quite ill throughout the journey. Exaustion sickness perhaps. Anyways, back to the grindstone!

| Back in town from unexpected trip. |

Had to step out of the house for a few days longer than expected last week to help my husband Bobby with something. So we apologize that we are a bit behind in emails ( and sadly a little bit more behind in suits). I really did not want to leave my shop for that long, but this interruption could not be avoided.
We will be working as hard as we possibly can in the upcoming weeks to get as many AC suits done as we can, though Ill give a heads up now there may be 1 or 2 that wont make it in time. We don't know which suits specifically until things get closer.
Emails are being tackled today ^^, then take a friend to the airport, then groceries and get the house back in order. Tomorrow we crack the whip!
Also, we are heading to Califur on Thursday or Friday, so we will see you all there! I honestly debated not going, but we really need to hit the fashion district as well as the foam store.

Got a couple of suits done last week yay! We have been very busy with the upcoming MakerFaire in SanMateo (Bobby is exhibiting this year), so pictures might not happen until Monday or Tuesday. We will keep pushing forward, so please bear with us ^^.

ONE spot left for June 2010, then we will be closed for a few months, reopening in September 2010.
Shipping Update;
Packages will NO LONGER be sent out USPS Parcel Post. From now on they will be USPS Priority or Fedex and insurance will be more fully used. This may result in some higher shipping costs, but the risk is just too stressful otherwise.
Payment System Change:
As of May 2009, Google Checkout decided to increase their fees on every transaction to a comparable rate with Paypal. Therefore we regret to announce that we now have to ask customers to add 3% onto Google Checkout payments. Sorry guys and gals, but we just cant suck up this cost any longer. Also, to even the field, we brought the Paypal fee down to 3% from 5%. Thanks for the understanding!
Migrating to Quickbooks:
Almost done thankfully! Soon we will be sending out invoices, estimates, and receipts for purchases through quickbooks. We are so pleased at how well this system works for us. A bit of a complex setup, but its mostly on its feet.
T-Shirts:
-The bug with the Paypal option on website has been fixed
-Furry Drama Queen is printed! Zomg glitter!
-Another secret design will be printed this week hopefully. Super complex art, so its been a challenge!

And as promised, here is the second suit we just completed. Please welcome to the FH Family, Negative Fox! More pictures at www.furrhappens.comHalf good, half evil, which side will you see? Our first harlequin design ^^. It was a challenge keeping track of all the black and white parts and where they went, but in the end he came out fantastic!. In my opinion one of our most interesting canine suits to date. This guy has Digi legs, 3D eyes, and a semi-moving jaw. Rumor is he will be running around a convention by next weekend! Enjoy! |
